Narutowicz

year of release: 2022

In 1922, the hateful incitement against national minorities drove the nationalist Eligiusz Niewiadomski to shoot and kill the first president of independent Poland.

In 2022, the Polish government arbitrarily decided that refugees at the Polish-Belarusian border do not deserve the privilege of safety and protection of basic human rights.

On the 100th anniversary of President Gabriel Narutowicz's assassination, we once again shout "disgrace!" to all who divide people based on their origin, faith, or skin color.

On November 28, 2022, at the initiative of Gusstaff Records and Antena Krzyku, during a concert in Reutlingen, we recorded "Narutowicz" and "The Song of The Young Fascists." The songs were hand-cut by Uncle Gusstaff using the lathe-cut method on 7-inch vinyl records, and then released in a limited edition of the "Don't Sit On My Vinyl" series.

22 copies (on transparent vinyl) were auctioned in December 2022, with all proceeds (16,000 PLN) going to support organizations within the Grupa Granica network, assisting refugees at the Polish-Belarusian border and within the country.

The cover art (featuring the painting "Wounded Frost" by Teodor Ziomek, in front of which President Narutowicz was shot) was created by Marcin Buk / Graffunk.
